Call for Papers

We are proud to officially announce Texas Linux Fest 2019, scheduled for May 31st and June 1st at the Irving Convention Center in Irving, Texas.

2019 marks nine years of Texas Linux Fest, the annual Linux and open source software event for Texas and the surrounding region. We are assembling a one day general session program for businesses and home Linux and Open Source Software users, newcomers and experienced pros alike. We will also hold a full day of vendor-led training sessions provided by our sponsors.

In that spirit, we invite you to share your interests and your work with the rest of the community by submitting your session for this year's program. The deadline for proposals is March 6th, 2019 at 11:59pm CST.

Session Format

Session slots are 45 minutes in length. However, if you have a strong case for presenting a double-length presentation or workshop, please let us know in the "special arrangements" section. We cannot guarantee availability, so be prepared to discuss your plan.

A/V Setup

Basic technical setup will include an overhead projector and a Linux laptop with PDF and LibreOffice presentation software. Special setup needs will be accommodated; simply let us know in the "special arrangements" section.
